If the explanation on the page didn’t make it clear, that’s a fault in the page and worth fixing.
Anything broken
A page that won’t load, a chart that looks wrong, a source link that goes nowhere.
Reporting a figure
Please name the calculator and the figure. “The German commuter allowance calculator, the rate per kilometre” is enough for me to find it in minutes; “a number looked wrong” is not. If you have the official source in front of you, a link to it is the fastest possible route to a fix. Every parameter on this site carries the document it was read from and the date it takes effect, so a report can usually be checked against the source the same day.
What I cannot help with
I cannot answer questions about your own tax, benefits or financial position, and I won’t try. I’m a researcher, not a licensed adviser, and a stranger who can’t see your circumstances is the wrong person to ask. For a decision that matters, speak to a qualified professional in your own country.
