Privacy Policy

The short version: our free calculators run entirely inside your browser. The figures you type — your income, your balances, your loan amounts — are never sent to us, never reach our servers, and are never stored. This page explains that in full, along with everything else we do and do not collect.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for this website is Mohamad Taha Kheirandish, Kuruköprü Mh., Seyhan, Adana 01060, Turkey. You can reach us at [email protected] or through our contact page with any question about this policy or your personal data. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as Article 37 of the General Data Protection Regulation does not require us to.

Your calculator inputs stay in your browser

This is the most important thing to understand about this site, so we put it first. Every free calculator here is JavaScript that runs on your own device. When you enter a salary, a mortgage balance, a pension contribution or any other figure, your browser processes it and draws the result on the page in front of you. Nothing is transmitted to us: no form submission, no background request carrying your figures, no record on our systems. Close the tab and the numbers are gone. We cannot tell you what you calculated — we genuinely do not know — and if our servers were ever compromised, there would be no calculator inputs there to expose.

One exception, stated plainly: some Pro tools calculate on our server, because the model behind them is too large or too commercially sensitive to ship to the browser. For those tools only, your figures are sent to us over an encrypted connection, used to produce the result, then discarded — not written to a database, not linked to your account beyond the technical logs below. Every such tool is marked Pro.

What we actually collect

Server access logs

Like every web server, ours records a short technical entry per request: IP address, date and time, page requested, HTTP status code, referring page where one is sent, and the browser’s user-agent string. We use these to keep the site running, diagnose faults, and block abuse such as scraping or break-in attempts. IP addresses are personal data under the GDPR, which is why we name them explicitly.

Messages you send us

If you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, subject and message. The form saves nothing to a database — it composes an email and sends it. We use what you send only to answer you.

Comments

Comments are enabled on our calculator pages. If you leave one we store the comment text, the name and email address you supply, your IP address and the timestamp. Your email address is not published. WordPress offers a tick-box to save your name and email for next time; the cookies behind it are set only if you tick it.

Aggregate usage counts

We keep a daily tally of how many times each calculator was opened: the date, which calculator, and a number. No IP address, no identifier, no session, nothing traceable to a person, shared with nobody. To be clear about what it is not — we do not currently run Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics or tracking product on this site.

Pro accounts

If you subscribe to Pro, we hold the account email address, subscription status and renewal date. Card details are entered on and held by our payment processor; they never pass through our servers and we never see your full card number.

Cookies

As this policy is published, a normal visit to this website sets no cookies at all. We have verified this. The table below lists every cookie that can appear, and the specific circumstance that causes it.

PurposeCookieSet whenLawful basis
Strictly necessarywordpress_sec_*, wp-settings-*Only if you log in. Not set for ordinary visitors.Legitimate interest
Strictly necessarycomment_author_*Only if you comment and tick the box asking us to remember your details.Consent
Preferencewp-wpml_current_languageSet by our translation system to remember a chosen language. Here the language is normally carried in the address, so a first visit does not set it.Legitimate interest
AnalyticsNoneWe run no third-party analytics, so no analytics cookie is set.Would require consent
Advertising__gads, __gpi, IDE and similar Google cookiesNot set today. These appear only once advertising begins — in the EEA and the UK, only after you consent.Consent

You can delete cookies and block them in your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies will not stop the calculators working, because they do not depend on cookies.

Advertising

We intend to fund this site by displaying advertising supplied by Google, through the Google AdSense programme. At the time of writing that has not started: no advertising is shown, no advertising code is loaded, and no advertising cookie is set. We describe it here in advance so you know what to expect, and so this page is already accurate on the day it changes.

When advertising does begin, the following will apply.

  • Google, as a third-party vendor, will use cookies to serve ads on this site.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
  • Google’s advertising cookies include the DoubleClick cookie family, which on publisher sites such as this one appears under names such as __gads and __gpi.
  • Third-party vendors and ad networks other than Google may also serve advertising on this site, and may likewise use cookies to do so.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by Google at Google Ads Settings. You may opt out of personalised advertising from many other vendors at once through the industry opt-out page at aboutads.info/choices. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Personalised and non-personalised advertising

Personalised advertising uses your past browsing to choose which ads to show, and needs a cookie or similar identifier on your device. Non-personalised advertising is chosen from the content of the page you are reading and your rough location instead; it still uses a cookie, but for frequency capping and fraud prevention rather than profiling.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we will ask for your consent before any personalised advertising cookie is placed on your device, and you can refuse or change your mind later. Refusing locks you out of nothing: the calculators are free and stay free, and you simply see non-personalised advertising instead. Until advertising begins no consent request appears, because there is nothing to consent to.

Why we are allowed to process your data

The GDPR requires a lawful basis for each purpose. Ours are:

  • Serving the site, keeping it secure and preventing abuse — legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f). A short server log is the least intrusive way to run an unabused service.
  • Answering your message — legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f); or contract, Article 6(1)(b), where it concerns a subscription you hold.
  • Advertising cookies, and any analytics cookie we adopt in future — consent, Article 6(1)(a). We set neither without asking first.
  • Providing and billing a Pro subscription — contract, Article 6(1)(b).
  • Keeping accounting and tax records — legal obligation, Article 6(1)(c).

You can withdraw consent at any time, without affecting anything we lawfully did beforehand. Where we rely on legitimate interest you may object, and we stop unless we can show compelling grounds that override your rights.

How long we keep things

  • Server access logs — up to 30 days, then deleted or anonymised, unless an entry forms part of an active security investigation.
  • Contact messages — up to 24 months, so we can follow up a correction or a recurring issue.
  • Comments — while published; you can ask us to remove yours.
  • Aggregate usage counts — indefinitely, as they hold no personal data.
  • Pro account and billing records — for the life of the subscription, then as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically six to ten years by jurisdiction.

Who else sees your data

We do not sell personal data and do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. A few processors handle data on our behalf, each under a written contract binding them to our instructions: our hosting provider, our email delivery provider, and our payment processor for Pro. Once advertising begins, Google acts as an independent controller for the advertising data its own cookies collect. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

Transfers outside the EEA and the UK

Some providers, Google in particular, are based in the United States or process data there. For transfers outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where the transfer starts in the UK, and — where the recipient is certified under it — on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension. Ask us and we will tell you which safeguard covers a given transfer.

Your rights

If the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies to you, you have the right to:

  • access the data we hold about you, and receive a copy;
  • rectification of data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • erasure, where a ground in Article 17 applies;
  • restriction of processing while you contest accuracy or an objection is considered;
  • data portability — the data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable format, sent to another controller where technically feasible;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to direct marketing at any time without giving a reason;
  • withdraw consent at any time where processing rests on it;
  • not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing producing legal effects. We make no such decision — a calculator result is an estimate you asked for, not a decision about you.

To exercise any of these, write to [email protected] or use our contact page. We answer within one month, free of charge, and will say so if a complex request needs the extension the GDPR allows. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

Complaining to a supervisory authority

If you think we have handled your data unlawfully you can complain to a supervisory authority — normally the one where you live, where you work, or where the problem happened. In the United Kingdom that is the Information Commissioner’s Office; in the European Union each Member State has its own, and the European Data Protection Board publishes the list. We would rather you came to us first, but you are not obliged to.

Children

This service is not directed at children. It is intended for adults making decisions about their own money, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and access to our systems is limited to those who need it. The most effective protection here is architectural rather than procedural: because free calculations never leave your browser, the sensitive figures are not in our custody to lose.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when what we do changes — in particular before advertising begins, so the description above matches reality on the day it does. The date of the last change is shown with this page, and where a change materially affects your rights we will say so rather than quietly editing the text.

Contact

Questions about this policy or your data go to [email protected] or our contact page. Our Terms of Use cover the rules for using the site itself.
